    David Carson's major issue deals with typography. It's pretty much about how far can you take {patterns+90003.jpg} The Architecture of Patterns
    type and still get the whole idea. In his work he cuts, overlaps, reverses, and adjusts many different details of all the typefaces he uses and in the process he has to make it graphically apealing and the message still has to be clear, or as clear as can be. Not all of his designs use type but it seems to be something he enjoys messing with a lot more.

He graduated from San Diego State University with a BFA in sociology, and was a professional surfer who had ranked number 9 in the world while attending college. He has written three books, one of which, "The End of Print," is the most sold graphic design book to exist.
